Flow Studies on Fordyce and Canyon Creek (CA)

posted August 6, 2008

As part of the Yuba/Bear FERC relicensing, test flows will be occurring on Fordyce Creek and Canyon Creek.  Paddlers that boat the runs are being asked to complete an online survey so that we can gather information on the boatability of these runs at different flows. Information on these runs is available on California Creeks and Dreamflows
These releases are part of a larger study effort that will be looking at all of the runs on the runs on the Middle Fork Yuba, South Fork Yuba and Bear Rivers.  In order for these studies to be success, and potentially lead to better and more reliable flows in the future, it is critical that people take the time to fill out the on line survey.
