River Description

The river passes through Grants Pass. A few miles further, the Applegate River joins the Rogue marking the start of the Wild and Scenic Lower Rogue River. Several access points (all the way down to Foster Bar) provide a diversity of opportunities for day trips. A scenic highlight of this reach is Hellgate Canyon.

Logistics:

Put-in at Baker Park Boat Ramp in Grants Pass on river left downstream of the Highway 199 Bridge.
River mile 101.9, elevation 896'.

Take-out at Grave Creek Boat Ramp is on river right.
River mile 68.5, elevation 630'.
